19 Nov My Mom Was Right All Along!
It’s crazy, but true. My mom is a genius!! Ok, well, maybe genius is a slight exaggeration, but it cracks me up when I have one of those “aha” moments only to find myself thinking back to just a few years ago when my mom tried tell me something like this would happen. Of course I was in my twenties then and my mom clearly didn’t know a thing :). Yep, she was all smiles while listening to my stories about work, relationships and projects I was getting into. I’d talk to her as if she couldn’t possibly understand what I was going through.
Now that I’m in my thirties, hardly a week goes by that I don’t pick up the phone to tell her that she DID know what I was talking about after all. She used to give me advice that I thought I would never use and it turned out if I had taken it I may have saved myself some time and definitely heartache, but hey, what’s life without all those little bumps in the road. Yep, my mom rocks!!

Not everything in life goes as planned, but that’s ok
Smiling and making a friend in the line at the grocery store could possibly make someone else’s whole day
You can’t fool yourself into loving someone
One day you’ll wake up and realize that you can’t lose those five extra pounds as quickly as you used to

And yes, there are still days when I start to think that she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, but then I just laugh because…well…she does! 🙂
