A Must Watch For Entrepreneurs Starting a Biz

Starting a business is anything but easy, but it is also one of the most exciting and amazing experiences you could possibly have.  One of the topics that often comes up when I’m chatting with my fellow entrepreneurial friends is the best way to market, get their ideas out and bring more customers/clients in.  It’s all well and good that you’ve got an amazing product or service, but if you’re the only one who knows about it…um…you get the point.

Often times we start looking at the bigger companies in our industry and then frustration and overwhelm start to creep in because we want that same kind of presence and exposure.  So, what can we do to give ourselves a competitive advantage?  I found this awesome talk on one of my fav new sites, 99U!  Can’t believe I just found it, but hey, better late than never! 🙂  The talk I found is called Give a Damn. Give Lots of Damns.  The speaker is Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit (now on the Board of Directors) and presently founder of Breadpig (yeah, he’s pretty awesome!).  Check it out and see what advice he has for start ups.  Best part?  Little investment and LOTS of return.  What business owner wouldn’t like that?

So what’d you think?  Share your comments below.  Would love to hear your thoughts!  Also, do you have any other great resources for start ups?  Let’s hear them!

Smile Lots,

Kate
